Usually, students and teachers alike have to wear uniforms to school. Students aren’t allowed to wear any jewelry, hats, colorful socks, etc. Once a year, though, we celebrate “D-Day,” or “Different Day.” Although uniforms still have to be worn, the normal rules on accessorizing go down the drain, and students are encouraged to get as crazy as possible.
The students had all kinds of fun ideas – one homeroom assigned each person a color, another celebrated with a hat theme. We teachers thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, too – our block transformed into punk rockers!
