Our final evening in Queenstown was New Year’s Eve. It was the first year that I had ever attended a city celebration to bring in the new year, and this was one for the books! There were a ton of people milling around, and what really stood out to me was the variety: lots of drunk teens and 20-somethings, yes, but also families, older couples, and everyone in between. I secured a great seat on the concrete wall overlooking the water, where they shot fireworks from boats. It was a pretty great show!
